The Design Process

Step 1: At our Showroom

At our Showroom you’ll meet with your Elements of the Home Consultant to discuss ideas for your kitchen or bath design.  We will help you envision your space, as we carefully listen to your needs, wishes, and the level of investment you are considering.   We’ll discuss all facets that will affect your finished product.  Together we will browse our showroom for inspirational ideas for your project.  Bring the pictures and ideas you have been gathering, so we can begin to understand your style!

Step 2: At your Home

At your Home, we’ll use all the information we exchanged at our showroom meeting to start thinking design.   Your Elements of the Home Consultant will spend this meeting getting to know your space.   At the end of this meeting, we will be able to give you an estimated cost range for your project.  At this point, we hope that you will choose to engage us as your design team.  With a signed agreement and financial commitment to start the process, your consultant will take initial measurements and digital photos of your space.  Now your ideas are on the road to reality!

Step 3: At your Home

We’ll show you the exciting layouts we’ve created for you and you’ll spend time selecting the concept that best fits your wants and needs.  We will present potential floor plans for your project based on your needs, desires and budget.  Through our discussion process, we will help you get to the right concept– and you’ll know we will have explored many options!

Step 4: At our Showroom, This is where the fun begins!

You will approve the final plan for your kitchen or bath and begin selecting the finishes for your project – everything from cabinets, contemporary to traditional – painted, glazed, or classically stained – to countertops of granite, natural stone, or quartz, simple or intricate backsplash materials, and the latest in knobs and pulls.   The choices are virtually endless – but we will guide you through to the last detail!

Step 5: Final Proposal and Design and Installation Agreement

We’ll present these contracts for your signature.  At this point, the initial installment of 1/3 of the contracted amount is due.  We will arrange a Pre-Start Conference to review the process of construction and installation.

Step 6: Pre-Start Conference

Your Elements of the Home Consultant will introduce you to your Project Manager.  Your Project Manager will be with you throughout the construction and installation.  We’ll discuss your project start date, schedules, communications, household access, parking, and all the things we can do to make your project efficient and successful.

Step 7: Project to Completion

On your project start date the second third of the contracted amount will be collected.

Step 8: Final Walk Though

You, your Elements of the Home Consultant, and your Project Manager will walk through your new space.  This will be the time we will make sure that you are completely satisfied and do a final sign off on you project.
